The Story of Skip's Suite

Lois Jane's Riverview is a family-owned iconic property in the heart of Southport North Carolina, on the Cape Fear River. Passed down through the generations since the 1800's, the main house operated as a bed a breakfast for many years as the Lois Jane's Riverview Inn. Now the Inn is back to being a private residence for family visitors but the two story carriage house behind the "Inn" has been renovated to receive guests.

Lois Jane's Riverview Carriage House is affectionately referred to as Skip's Suite in honor of a beloved friend and member of the extended family. Decades ago, Skip was figuratively adopted by the family when he was a little boy. As a young man, he and his new family resided there until creating a homestead of their own. He remains in the hearts of family members and so the carved sign "Skips Suite" on the carriage house pays homage to him.

The Carriage House has 2 one-bedroom suites the size of small apartments. Each has a queen bed, full private bath, living room, full-sized eat-in kitchen and outdoor space for river viewing.

The ground floor suite is Meezie's Garden Suite and the upstairs unit is Davey's Ship Watch Suite.
